The students from Geography and Geo-Informatics Program, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences joined the 11th Thai Students Symposium on Geography and Geo-Informatics.


       
Congratulations to the students from the 4th year of Geography and Geo-Informatics Program, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University joined to the 11th Thai Students Symposium on Geography and Geo-Informatics at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Social Sciences, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen, which took place during January 12th – 13th, 2019. On this occasion, the 4th year students from  Geography and Geo-Informatics Program, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University got the Honorable mention for the competition in the Poster Presentation for the topic of Using the Satellite imagery which shines during the night for finding  the relationship between the Urban Growth, and Land use for Urban in the Lower North-Eastern of Thailand. 
Moreover, the representative from the 4th year students gave the oral presentation in 3 categories:

  • 1. Human Geography

       Title: The Inspection of rice consumes water for forecasting the using water in the agriculture section at Nong Phrao Ngai, Sai Noi District, Nonthaburi Province.

       Presented by: Mr. Manassanan Chaorakham, Mr. Peeraphol Supich, and
Mr. Thanawat Chaiyo

  • 2. Physical Geography
  •        Title: The effect of running off sediment for changing the lifestyle of people who live on the river side of the Mekong River, Loei Province
           Presented by: Ms. Wichayaphon Hoonsuwankul, Mr. Theerawach Khongelert, and Ms. Sasira Boonyawanich

  • 3. Geo-Informatics Technology
  •        Title: Using Remote-Sensing Technique for classifying the deterioration of coral reefs:
  • A Case Study Ko Ram Ra, Bang Saphan District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province
  •        Presented by: Mr. Udsada Charoenlap, Ms. Thirada Sophon, and Ms. Thananya Lakharn

Also, given the poster presentation in 2 categories:

1. Human Geography

  •        Title: Finding the composition of the wave that shows the green area in a park by using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) for searching the green area for urban people at Chatuchak District, Bangkok.
           Presented by: Mr. Puthimas Mahaman, Mr. Kandanai Sirisah, and Ms. Sunisa Pasuansak

  • 2. Physical Geography
  •        Title: The expansion of urban area and the effectiveness of the Hydrologic phenomena of the watershed by using Digital Elevation Model (DEM) around Pattaya area, Chonburi Province.
           Presented by: Ms. Praewphannarai Sirisith, Ms. Weeraya Sae Lim, Ms. Nithikul Buathong, and Mr. Kathawut Waisusri

    For this symposium, the lecturers from the Geography and Geo-Informatics Program, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University gave advice, suggestions and special care to all representatives.
