Learning Beyond the Classroom: Inheriting Wisdom through the Thai Major Way”

March 25–26, 2026 - The Thai Program, Department of Humanities, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized the “Integrated Project: Inheriting Wisdom and Exploring the Phetchaburi Way" in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces.

In this regard, third-year Thai Program students participated in field-based learning as follows:

  • The Wisdom of Toddy Palms: by the guest speaker, Mr. Amnat Phu-ngoen at Uncle Thanom’s Palm Orchard, Ban Lat District, Phetchaburi
  • The Wisdom of Thai Kites: by the guest speaker, Mr. Udom Chom-ngam at Ban Tham Rong Thai Kite House, Ban Lat District, Phetchaburi
  • Presentations on “Creative Activities in Folklore”: at the RTAF Bo Fai Welfare Accommodation, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan
  • “Wat Yai Suwannaram: Legends and Cultural Artistic Wisdom”: by the guest speaker, Mr. Udomdet Ketkaew at Wat Yai Suwannaram, Mueang Phetchaburi District, Phetchaburi

The Thai Program extended sincere gratitude to all guest speakers for their time and expertise.

This field trip to these invaluable learning sites has successfully broadened the students’ educational horizons, enhanced their diverse experiences and lifelong learning, provided social and life skills, and inherited Thai wisdom and arts and culture.
