
Geography and Geoinformatics students from the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences made a reputation to win 5 awards at The 14th Thai student’s symposium on Geography and Geo-informatics (TSG 14th)
Congratulations to undergraduate students from the Geography and Geoinformatics program of the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, who attended The 14th Thai student’s symposium on Geography and Geo-informatics
(TSG 14th) during 21 – 22 January 2022 with Srinakharinwirot University host an online event.
This year, 6 students from the Geography and Geoinformatics program of the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences participated in the conference and got 5 awards from academic presentations as follows:
Two Silver Medal Awards are:
Oral Presentation (Geoinformatics Group)
1. Ms. Pornphan Phupandung, Geoinformatics, with her work on "Machine Learning to Monitor Drought in Nakhon Ratchasima Province with Geoinformatics Technology."
2. Ms. Nirunya Kaewbuadee, Geoinformatics, with her work on "Identification of Mangrove Plants by Machine Learning Model, Case Study, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province."
Three Bronze Medal Awards are:
- Oral Presentation (Geography for Sustainable Development Group) according to SDGs objectives:
1. Ms. Pranita Jungpanich and her work "Two Decades of Land Use Changes in Koh Chang, Trat Province, Thailand"
- Poster Presentation (Human Geography Group) is
1. Ms. Thitiporn Sapcharoen and her work "Relationship between Electricity Consumption in the Eastern Region and Land Use Population and Economic Level of Thailand"
- Poster Presentation (Physical Geography Group) is
1. Ms. Nattawan Phikunthong and her work "Change of Mangrove Forest Area Using Satellite Image Data in 2011, 2016, and 2021: Case Study, Yi San Sub-district, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province"
We would like to congratulate the student who participated in this event:
Ms. Piyawadee Yoosawat participated in the Geography for Sustainable Development Group poster presentation competition according to SDGs objectives.
Her work is The Changes in Forest Areas in Kaeng Krachan National Park, Phetchaburi Province, and Prachuap Khiri Khan Province Between 2000 and 2021
